Our videos about having durian and Pasar Minggu were taken in one day. Well, not really one day, but from the evening until early in the morning. And, we’re not really prepared. Few days before, we only talked about some ideas. What made it even worse was that we had our own schedules. I had to attend an event, and my friend Teguh also had his own agenda.

I came at Teguh‘s place at around 6PM. We arranged the plan right away. The first thing we did was buy some video tapes. We planned to come to Pasar Minggu earlier so that we could go to Muara Baru harbor with some fish sellers using their truck. But, we’re a little bit. We arrived at Pasar Minggu at around 7.30 PM. After getting some information about when they will come back, we decided to go to another place. But, where? Our short discussion brought us to an idea to have durian at Kalibata Street since it was not far from Pasar Minggu. It was better to spend time having durian rather than waiting at Pasar Minggu, right?

When we arrived there, we had a brief discussion about making a video. We spent few minutes to discuss about the scenario and scenes we wanted to make. We picked a spot randomly, and we came to Mr. Hanafi’s. Without waiting any longer, we ordered a durian from him and talked to him that we wanted to take videos there. He didn’t mind at all and told us about what kind of durian we found there. We also asked him to “work” with us in making this video. A friendly — and patient — person we had there. Thank you Mr. Hanafi! “This is Indonesia!” :)

We bought two durians there: Petruk and Medan. We’re agree that Medan has a better taste than Petruk. They’re both sweet and delicious, but if we had to choose, we prefer Petruk. Anyway, we didn’t buy two, but three since we bought one for some kids we met. They walked on us and watched us. Not begging for money, just watched us taking videos. When we asked them whether they liked durian or not, they said “yes”. Yes, it’s their durian time!

From there, we went back to Pasar Minggu at around 10 PM to have another adventure. :)
